I can't believe it's March of 2019 already. When I helped to set up Right Minds just over two years ago I had no idea how wild this ride would be and how much support and interest was out there. This is the first newsletter of a regular format that I'll be sending out. Each will contain an exclusive letter from the editor (that will appear on the website after a few days) and highlight the stories and events we at Right Minds covered in the previous month, including some statistics on our internet reach. I'll also take the opportunity to bring to your attention any known upcoming events or announcements.
On Feb 3rd, I published a story about New Zealand representatives from our High Commission to South Africa attending the campaign launch of the Economic Freedom Fighters, led by anti-white racist Julius Malema. I requested information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about this, and got the following response:
[...] it is standard and accepted diplomatic practise to ensure the New Zealand Government is informed of the positions of political parties taking part on elections that are of interest to New Zealand.
This doesn't explain why even the National Party Foreign Affairs spokesman was surprised at this and why the EFF posted photos with only NZ and AU delegates. As to interest the government might have in cosying up to Malema, I can't speculate.
We ran coverage of all three NZ Sovereignty rallies in protest against the UN Migration Pact. I attended a Jordan Peterson talk in Auckland and wrote a well-received review.
Compared to last February, our web visitors were up 500%, going from a few hundred to many thousands. On social media we reached tens of thousands of people with our headlines and memes. We published 15 articles by 4 different contributors.
All of this is possible thanks to both our writers and readers.
What's coming up? We have no official events planned during March yet, but we do hope to launch the first iteration of the Right Minds Store and I hope to get out the first Right Minds Podcast. That's going to be plenty to keep us busy, along with pursuing the regular publishing schedule of articles.
