Mainstream Momentum - How Trump Steers the Fake News Titanic

Donald Trump and News Media go hand in hand. They've had a love hate relationship since Trump started raising hell on the New York property scene.
For better, for worse, through thick and thin, you can rest assured that the news media have been loyally following Trumps every move.

Donald Trump stands with New York Mayor Ed Koch, Gov. Hugh Carey and Robert T. Dormer of the Urban Development Corp. at the launching ceremony of the New York Hyatt Hotel in June 1978.

One example of his media teasing came in the early 1980s as Trump was putting the finishing touches on his newest building project - Trump Tower.
From his penthouse atop his new tower, Trump became annoyed at the eyesore that was the perpetually unfinished Wollman Ice Skating Rink. The rink was closed in 1980 (due to trouble with the ice making equipment),  for a planned 2.5 year $5-Million renovation. Six years and $12-million later, city officials announced plans to scrap all previous efforts and start over from scratch. They planed to open again in 1988 if everything went to plan.

“I and all other New Yorkers are tired of watching the catastrophe at Wollman Rink,” Mr. Trump wrote in a letter to his nemeses Ed Koch, then mayor of New York, that was later picked up in newspapers. “The incompetence displayed at this simple construction project must be considered one of the greatest embarrassments of your administration.” He went on to propose a far-fetched plan: Trump himself would personally direct and bankroll the reconstruction effort and get Wollman Rink running within six months for just $3-million.

To cut a long story short: Trump finished the rink two months ahead of schedule, and $750,000 under budget.

During the rink debacle Trump managed to win favor with the press and enjoyed positive media coverage, however at the turn of the decade this relationship turned south where Trump got his first taste of media hysteria. 1990 threw Trump into the gossip snake pit with the widely publicised divorce of his first wife Ivana Zelníčková. Annnd again 7 years later with the divorce of his second wife Marla Maples. Bad Donald.

Trump has been dealing with the media since before most of the current news staffers were born and knows them better than they know themselves. He's developed quite a knack for getting them to do what he wants without them knowing it which he put to good use during the campaign. A classic example of this was when the media thought they caught him pretending to be his own public relations adviser talking himself up in an early 90s interview with a magazine reporter. Assuming that the old magazine reporter was the one who leaked the audio recording to current news media, Fox had her on to tell her story only for her to drop this bombshell. Yes congratulations on recognizing Trump was impersonating himself, but who leaked you the audio? It was the Don all along.

Trump lives by the phrase "all publicity is good publicity". He understands how to trigger the media into a frenzy in order to point attention where he wants it. Our most recent example was yesterday when Trump made a comment in his rally regarding Immigration problems in Europe.

"You look at what's happening in Germany. You look at what's happening last night in Sweden. Sweden! Who would believe this? Sweden! They took in large numbers and they're having problems they never thought possible".

Of course the media went and did some investigating into the immigration concerns of Sweden.
Just joking. They took the quote that mentions nothing about a terror attack and using their fake news super powers proceed to accuse Trump of lying about a terror attack that he never mentioned and never happened. Rather than address the real issue, the media created a fake issue which is easily disproved.

The opportunity to get some snarky digs in at Trump wasn't missed either.

So what's actually happening in Sweden that Trump wanted to point out because the media is totally silent on? Sweden has a dirty secret. I'll leave that to Paul Joseph Watson to elaborate in his video below.
