New Zealands First Plane Hijacking Turns 9 Years Old

How often have you thought to yourself "It's only a matter of time before we have an Islamic terror attack in New Zealand"?

Well you're late to the party, because 9 years ago today a Somalian Refugee to New Zealand said thanks for our generosity by hijacking an airplane, slashing the pilot and co pilot with a knife and injuring one passenger.

Asha Ali Abdille, a refugee from Somalia, was sentenced to nine years in jail after trying to hijack a flight from Blenheim to Christchurch in February, 2008.

The then 33-year-old stabbed both pilots and a female passenger suffered minor wounds as she tried to restrain her.

The people on board believed they would all die as she demanded that the pilots crash the plane, apparently after she realised it was not going to fly to Australia.

Abdille was sentenced to nine years in prison, and her sentence expired yesterday.

According to Radio New Zealand she is currently held in a psychiatric unit in the Wellington region, but refused to attend her final Parole Board hearing in early December. A written summary of the hearing, obtained by RNZ, said Abdille was still classified as high risk and has "said that she will attempt to hijack another plane and has threatened to set herself on fire".

Meanwhile New Zealands delusional left wing calls for more refugees at the Trump protest today in Auckland. Which one of these virtuous angels will take Asha Ali Abdille into their homes? I hear shes is looking for a place to stay after her near decade prison sentence.
